How does Conflict coaching work?

Referral

Once we have received your referral, our case managers will contact you to find out more about the problem. They will then assign two conflict coaches who have the relevant experience for your case, and contact you again to book the session.

Conflict coaching session

The session can take place at our offices near Clapham Junction station, or on Zoom. It will last for about an hour, and the person you are in conflict with will not be involved. During the session, you will have a chance to talk about your problem with two experienced coaches and explore your options. By the end of the session, you will be able to identify your strengths, skills and resources that can empower change. Everything you say to the coaches will remain confidential, and you can end the session at any time.

“I now understand alternatives to try instead of doing nothing. I felt support and empathy from the conflict coach. I felt really listened to because they were neutral and I could say what I felt without feeling it was wrong”.

“I feel the service has enabled me to say my feelings out loud instead of keeping everything bottled up inside. The service has helped me look at other options so I can seek a good outcome for all affected”.

“I felt listened to and guided. I felt that they helped me find solutions in dealing with what I considered issues but now think of as events… I walked away feeling that I had a better sense of direction. Once again, thank you for your service. It was objective, yet personal and made me feel much lighter when I left.”

“It was good for me to be able to express myself freely with the coaches, who were totally unbiased, about my problems. They listened with empathy and I received some coping mechanisms from them”.
